Labelfucker Moscow – 1st Party

Labelfucker Party

The name speaks for itself. Labelfucker brings together a hand selected group of people for simple, but nice parties. New York-, Brooklyn-Williamsburg-, Berlin-Style. No matter of which background, from artists to DJs to businessmen to diplomats. To join the parties you have to have a code to enter. That only goes to friends or friends of friends. Not to ensure to have a glamorous (profitable) crowd, but to ensure good vibes. The Labelfuckers are not against labels. They just don’t care about them.

We, yes… I am a Labelfucker as well, had or first party yesterday. Some things went wrong, but I think it was probably a good one.

Svet Vokrug Festival

Nightmares On WaxNightmares On Wax (London)

Vokrug Sveta (Around the light) is a 145 year old Russian magazine covering a broad base of articles about culture, travel, health, technology and much more. It’s a real mainstream magazine. Last Saturday we visited the Svet Vokrug Festival, which was sponsored by this magazine and organized by some friends. The festival took place in an old factory and some of the visitors called it the best they have seen for a long time. One even quoted: It’s the best festival I have seen in Russia so far. Indeed, it was very good and I couldn’t find any negatives, apart that most of the bars ran out of alcohol around 5 AM in the morning.

Svet Vokrug

The people in the crowd were pretty mixed. There was anything from suburban people to upper middle class yuppies. From dreadlocks to bold and from sneakers to Italian shoes. Mostly it was a very creative type between 22 and 30. The later it got, the more suburban’s you saw, that was probably because the metro is not running at night and people didn’t know how to get back home, but also because of the program. From early mornings on, Techno sounds dominated the dance floor and that is not everybody’s cup of tea. Clearly about 2/3rd of the people went home after they have seen the headliners Nightmares on Wax and Gus Gus. By the way: A 500 Rbl cover for such a good and famous line-up is more than fair. In other venues you pay double just to see one of them.

The line-up was great. We enjoyed Nightmares on Wax, President Bongo of Gus Gus from Island, the Flammable Beats crew, Panda and his band and many many more. A big shout out to the Bisquitgang for this great festival. Hope you’ll do it next year again. Other than that I will let the photos talk for themselves. Oh and one more thing: Dinc says these were the cleanest and luxury Dixie toiltes he has ever seen …

First-Tracks.org

We just finished another project. Our client and project list is huge this year. Thank you for your trust and the business you gave to us. This one is for a Freerider crew based mainly in Switzerland, but also in Austria and everywhere where there is snow. Its a none-profit and since of today they offer you a calendar with freeride-events, news, reviews and a gallery.

We could have built a normal portal site, but we wanted to make something different and based everything around a calendar with changing background images. These were mainly supplied by Peter Mathis, a famous snowboard photographer. The design could have been much better, but the budget was limited and I think it came out OK. As so often these days. the design was done in Germany, while the programming came from CYGEN Russia. The project manager Kerstin (Good Job!) sits on the Canary Island Tenerife in Spain. As you can see, the virtual working environment works out quiet well.

Check it out. Another CYGEN produced site, that is different.

Voelkl-Snowboards.com
www.voelkl-snowboards.com

Here’s another site we have just released for one of our clients: Völkl Snowboards. It was a big piece and a looot of work We used flash with xml, php and MySQL to create an independent backend, which we can reuse in the following years. Anyways, the project was fun, since I am a snowboarder myself and I enjoy working on that kind of stuff. We will release a Russian site in the next days as well. In the meantime check out the English site. Its full with prizedraws (to win stuff), videos and nice photos as well as information about their new boards. Speaking of which. You can nominate their boards for a best design award.

Every November we have the Ski/Board Salon in Moscow/Russia. During this exhibition they’ll present the Best Design Woman Snowboard 05-06 awards.

There are 2 nominations: “The best design” – winners (TOP 5) are defined by interactive voting on www.bestsnowboards.ru and during the Salon at the stand of Best Design Woman Snowboard (by fill in of questionnaire).
2. ” the Most creative design ” – winners are defined by judges at the Ski/Board Salon

So, VOTE FOR Voelkl !! :))

Voelkl.com and Völkl Ski International

One of our larger projects this year: Völkl’s Portal – Voelkl.com. The design and concept was made by the agency PRINZIP in Munich. We just did the programming part. The portal is available in 4 different languages and includes little gadgets like a skifinder-application, that recommends ski’s based on your input and preferences.
