Well, I had a strange call last night. Some Russian dude was yelling at me, saying something like: We saw your post on Facebook and Moscow-Blog and we are not happy about it. What does it mean the Cayenne was shitty inside? And you were not impressed? I am answering: What can I say? Its the truth. Sorry! And what do you mean with suggesting that we don’t have a Maybach?, the angry man replies on the other side of the line. Do you?, I ask. Yes mofo!, he yells. So show it to me, I say. Well ok, he is quiet for a while, then he mumbles something in Russian to someone else over there. OK! We’ll pick you up at your office tomorrow and take you for a ride in our Maybach. Well, I could go on and on and make up bullshit like that. Of course its not true, but as a matter of fact VIP Taxi really has a Maybach and I was invited to take another ride and check it out today. Its Russian decadence pure. A very luxurious and comfortable one, though.
The truth is, that I had a call this morning from the German TV guys who filmed us Monday. They asked me to come for another quick shoot. This time with the Maybach and yes, the VIP Taxi company actually really owns and rents a Maybach, along with a Rolls Royce. Its just a pity that this classy and luxury status symbol is angry orange and looks like a taxi. Such a classic German car. Super stylish, made look so cheap. TIR. Branding won over style. Not sure, if that makes sense. Their Rolls Royce is in plain white, which I think is much better.
From the interior this car is much better than the Porsche Cayenne. Its all working, clean and very comfy. The drivers are nice as before. Great service. But this all comes for a premium price. The Maybach VIP Taxi costs you 9000 Rub per hour and in comparison to a stretch limo only fits 2 guests.
