If you are in Moscow, you have probably seen it on TV last weekend. There was a birdflu outbreak in a few villages South of Moscow. One near Domodedovo Airport. Monday the officials confirmed that the birds died on the H5N1 virus, which can also be dangerous for humans.
The villages were quarantined. Kommersant reports that 2 more cases were found on Tuesday:

Three more outbreaks of avian flu were recorded in Moscow Region on Tuesday, raising the total number of problem areas to eight. The new cases have been traced down to a single Moscow market. Veterinary officials insist that chicken-meat is absolutely safe to eat. more…
