The Moscow based Exile paper is asking: “Who is La Russophobe ?” and offers an attractive reward for uncovering the bloggers idendity. Him/She has posted comments on this Blog as well. So, who is she (or him)? You can win a night with a hooker and free booze (paid by Exile) or a dinner for two in an upscale Moscow restaurant, if you uncover La Russophobes idendity. Why do I post this none-sense? Well, apart of me liking the entertaining and ironic, but critical EXILE writing, I also think, if someone voices his/her opinion as loud as La Russophobe, he or she should reveal his/her idendity, because that is the other side of “Freedom of speech”.
Here is what the Exile writes:
“… Who is this freakish ghoul who haunts the blog world with her Russophobia, and what is his/her/their purpose? Donning our Thelma caps, we have two theories:
a). She really is a she named “Kim Zigfield,” and she genuinely hates Russia for the same reason all Western girls hate Russia: because Russian women are 142 million times hotter than all the Western girls combined (eesh, what a rank thought, all of the West’s chicks combined! Hey, someone get me a frickin spittoon and a bottle of Listerine!). Hence, the obsessive hatred of Sharapova.
b). La Russophobe is a poorly thought-out project of some NGO/government/etc that wants to undermine the Kremlin. Hence the awkward banner that “La Russophobe” is “non-profit.”
c). Or both: La Russophobe is an NGO project run by an angry, fat-assed Anglo/American chick who hates Sharapova.”
Hey Ames, this looks a lot like Russian authorities (especially FSB) hunting NGO’s financed by foreign governments to prepare the way for another rose or orange revolution. Switched sides?
As of today I associated the name Buran with the soviet space shuttle and I didn’t know what it means. Sonia just called me. The authorities warn people via the radio to expect a “Buran”, a heavy snowstorm (Blizzard) for tomorrow. The storm is on direct course to Moscow and they advice people to stay at home and not go into the center especially. Looking forward to see it. Hurrah, Zima (Winter) is finally coming full force.
Here is what a Buran looks like… this one comes up from the South and its over Kiev right now. Heard it brought a lot of snow to South Germany and France already.
It was my Parisian friend Pierre, a former techno producer, frequent Paris party boy and traveller, who dropped Etienne De Crecy’s first records on me. Shortly after, I started to spin as a resident at XIT, a club in Puerto De La Cruz, Tenerife. Etienne de Crecy, aka Motorbass (early works) and Alex Gopher were always in my set. Unfortunately Crecy’s last album Superdiscount 2, wasn’t as much funky house, as I would have liked to hear it, but the music business is cruel and funky paris house is just plain old and not in fashion anymore. The last Superdiscount-album was much more commercial and had some electro influence, but I still liked it. I even put a track in one of my recent MP3 mixes.
My favorite track from the last album: Someone like you.
Anyways. Etienne De Crecy and Alex Gopher (from Spain) will spin their favorite records at B1 Club here in Moscow next weekend (Saturday the 27th). The club is new and OK, the sound is plainly bad. At least thats how it was last Sunday at the De La Soul gig. Still, I recommend this event to you. There are not a lot of opportunities to see one of the best DJ’s and producers from Paris in Moscow and that for a reasonable price of 600 Rbls. See you there.
The new Bugatti Veyron 16.4 was landed from the top of Ritz Carlton hotel and both the journalists and common mortals could view this fascinating event.
One of such Bugatti luxury car owners is Roustam Tariko, a Moscow billionaire, who made his fortune on “banking and vodka”. A bachelor, Tariko is known for his parties on Sardinia Island and at Moscow nightclubs as well as his lavish lifestyle: he was the first Russian to buy a Maybach and later a Mercedes SLR McLaren.
MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian bears at Moscow Zoo have finally dropped off into their hibernation slumber despite months of insomnia caused by a record mild start to winter, zoo officials said on Tuesday.
