Rooftop Party Moscow

This party was definitely a Moscow highlight. I have been on many rooftop parties in New York, but never had the chance to visit one in Moscow. Here we go and it was great. Thank you to Philipp and Martin for having us. Especially to Martin who offered his roof. Well it was a 12 hour party marathon and I’m still drunk from all the Vodka Red Bull’s so just have a look at the photos and enjoy the view (over Moscow) while I am trying to sober up.

And the rooftop mix I prepared for the night. The people liked it. Do you? Check it out:

Fast Lane at Customs and Immigration at Moscow Airports

Its amazing what money can buy you in Moscow. It seems, if you have money, you can do everything. You don’t…. that’s your problem. Check out this service I just found via a Google advertising on this blog:

Especially at Sheremetyevo II the $80 might be a good investment to avoid standing an hour and a half infront of immigration and customs. That gives you some more time to work.

Exile Field Guide

Artem has just sent this to me.

Mark Ames and his crew from the free weekly Exile paper just posted this interesting field guide to various personally types residing in Moscow on their site. Its an interesting, ironic, but often true read.

Art: Ganesha Desarzens

Pierre brought a swiss friend to one of our parties in Manhattan once. His name was Ganesha. He is an artist and although pretty young, he has the style and flair of a Gentleman, like James Bond (and the girls love him). As for many of us, his NYC stay was just a period in his life and he moved back to Europe.

I’ve been a bit surprised to meet Ganesha on a mountain near Forte dei Marmi in Tuscany/Italy a few years ago (actually shortly after we’ve met in NYC). Forte dei Marmi is one of the richest towns in Italy and also a very popular touristic city, but there is also a very good underground scene. A friend organized a large festival/party on a mountain with the view over the sea there and I came from NYC to hang out and spin some music. When walking around and checking the place I bumped into Ganesha, who took some lessons in working with marble for sculpturing in this very artistic area of Italy where Colombian artist Fernando Botero lives (he sat on a neighboring table in a small cozy local restaurant, when we had dinner).

Ganesha\'s site

For the past years we kept in touch (God bless the Internet once again). Ganesha just launched his website. Check it out. It needs some more work (the site), but is worth a look already and displays some of his pieces. I am not an art critic, but I believe Ganesha is a very talented artist and I’m very impressed of his work. I really like his art. Hope I bump into Ganesha again, soon. Maybe in Moscow. You never know.
